My future job

When I decided to study sociology I dind't know what to do after finishing my major, but now  -two years later- I think that I'm finding my way.

When I was in school I really enjoyed history classes, but now in university I have classes whit professor Avendaño. He studied sociology and history and now he makes classes of Latin Amercian history, History of Chile and Political Sociology. I'm really falling in love with this major after that.

So now I know that I want to keep in that way, maybe like teaching like him.

I can't picture my life in the same place, or in the same city, so I think that I would be happy been teacher because you can make classes or keep learning abut your major in a lot of places. I think that I would be free making that.

I really don't care a lot about money because I don't have planes to make a family for now, so I just want to travel and learn, but if I change my mind I do different things, it's more versatile.

I have been looking for more information and in some universities you can make two years of pedagody and been a history teacher, so I think that I would do that.

If  I could choose I would be in a outdoor work, but I can't think how to mix history and
outdoor jobs, so that's why I want to travel while I'm studying and working, trying to make everything I love.

  2. If you like history you must be an anarchist, I hope you could find the love of god one of this days! Also, maybe the best way to learn about history is when someone is tells you his or her side of it, travelling and learning is a jackpot

CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

In this blog I will write about the changes that I would make to my study program in the sociology major. I will not be realistic at all, because I feel that the most important thing is a much deeper change than just a few small things. First, about the subjects I think it is important that in our major to have more art, music and sports classes will allow us to educate ourselves more deeply and to be much happier beings. Regarding the workload and length of studies I think it is the number of hours we attend classes is good, it is very important to be and hear the teachers and classmates, but I think it is not necessary to send so many tasks, texts and final tests , because it is not a parameter of knowledge, it only tires us and makes us suffer. Chile is one of the countries where the major  lasts five years or more, which is ridiculous because it is expensive to study and very few can pay so many years. I feel privileged in terms of infrastructu...

Luis Alberto Spinetta

Luis Alberto Spinetta:  When I was a child my family and I always traveled to the South of Chile. My mom allways put some Inti Illiman's and Los Jaivas' discs, and my father put on the radio some discs about Soda Stereo and Luis Alberto Spinetta. Every summer the same songs.  I was not aware of how much I really liked that music, but when I was 13 or 14 years old I started listening my own music: The Smiths, The Cure... but I didn't felt like in summer. So I started listening by my own that bands.  Also my best friend has family on Argentina, so when I started going more to her home, her family always always listened Soda and Spinetta's music. So, I always loved Cerati and Spinetta, but last year I listened for the first time "Cementerio Club" from Pescado Rabioso, a band of Spinetta and I felt like in summer again. It's like feeling like a child again, in my farther's car, on the road, with my dad si...

English Language Challenges

At the school I was not a bad student of English, but I never understood the importance of it until I had English at university. Now I know that I need to learn this language because of my major and because I want to have more  opportunities in the rest of the world with my major such as reading papers or writing them, and also for the rest of my life, for example knowing other people or traveling alone without the need of other people to traslate. I want to do it by myself.  The use of blog at the beginning was not so important to me because I dind't understand why we should do it, but in time I saw it. Writing my ideas helped me to take out all my  knowledge and also what I was learning class by class. Now I can see it.  I need to improve a lot of aspects of my English, like grammar, spelling and talking, and all that is important to me for my major. In sociology you have to learn English to travel and understand other  colleagues and also f...
